We use responsible practices (no herbicides or pesticides of any sort). Becoming certified organic is more time/effort than we are willing to devote to it right now.
- Our "herbicide" is a hoe.
- Our "pesticide" is the huge population of frogs/toads in residence.
- Our soil amendments are composted horse manure and other materials from the farm.
- All of our animals are housed in natural groups for social interactions -- and have free access to secure pasture areas for exercise and play
The resulting products are as clean, safe, and guilt-free as it is possible to obtain anywhere.

Tomato Bonanza
As you might expect, gardening is frequently a matter of "feast" or "famine". This is a huge pile of cherry tomatoes that all came ripe at once. We ended up making a bunch of dried tomatoes for winter use.
