The "Plan"

This is our newest endeavor. It is in the planning stages.

We invite you to participate in hands-on farm-kitchen fun, exploring old fashioned cooking with farm-fresh and local ingredients.

Participation

We are planning to limit workshops, in general, to a maximum of four guests per session. That is a good group for the size of the farm kitchen, and we want to guarantee that it is actually "hands-on" and not just sit and watch.

If a group of friends wanted to participate (and happened to have a fifth member) we would certainly be flexible.

Timing / Scheduling

Each workshop should run for approximately three hours -- with a little extra time set aside at the end for final questions and socializing. We are currently thinking of offering two basic schedules:

  • Morning from 9:00 am to noon (hoping to accommodate people with school-age kids as well as people who work late shifts or who are retired).
  • Evening from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm (hoping to accommodate people who cannot come during the day).

Cost

Initially, the workshops will be $25 per person. It is possible that there would need to be "extra-materials" costs for some specialized projects (if the materials were pricey).

Special Request

If you are interested in the concept of workshop -- but have "issues" with the plan, please contact us and give us feedback. We want to learn from you!
